The IMASD (Internet Marketing Association of Surplus Dealers) is a true association in that it is owned and operated by its Members.  IMASD is currently run by a three Member Board of Directors.   Board Members are elected from the general Membership.  All IMASD policies and by-laws are dictated by the Members. 

IMASD's primary goal is to provide marketing services for wholesale goods.  It is unique in that it also provides equity to its Members, such that each Member can benefit from the rise in value of the IMASD and the growth of the Internet. 

Each Membership (under the BICS program) is equal to .025% of ownership.   Memberships are subject to market forces and have risen over 150% in two years (and we expect them to continue to rise).   Some Members have benefited from IMASD strictly as an investment. 

The investment aspect of IMASD was considered only a minor benefit when IMASD was conceived, because the Association's primary purpose was marketing.  But the rapid growth of the Internet has changed this somewhat.  We all own a piece of the pie, and that pie is getting bigger by the day. 

Here is a very brief explanation of IMASD Affiliate policy:

Obligations:

• IMASD Affiliates must offer Web hosting services for their country or territory of origin.

• Affiliates must provide a main Web site and services (to Members) equal to, or similar to, the services offered to our US and Canada Members. For example, a searchable database and directory are necessary. The main focus of these services is to expose IMASD Members to the worldwide marketplace through the Internet.

• Affiliates must honor IMASD by-laws.

• A minimum investment of $100,000 USD is required in IMASD ownership.   This ownership is calculated as, and referred to as, Memberships.   New Affiliates may purchase Memberships at 50% of par value.   (Each Membership has one vote in IMASD governmental decisions.  )

• Resale of Memberships: This is how new Members are added and Affiliates profit from the sale, currently at a 100% markup.  

• Appreciation of Memberships: Held or unsold Memberships have the possibility of a continued rise in value. 

• Value Added Services: Our Web host company, Electronic Information Services Inc.   (EIS), was one of the developers of IMASD and it currently operates the IMASD server.   Much of their business comes indirectly from IMASD through separate development contracts that have been arranged with individual IMASD Members and others.   If your company has technical expertise, you will have many opportunities in this area.  

• Traffic: You and your Members will be exposed to buyers and sellers from all over the world as part of IMASD collective advertising.   Each new Member adds to this community pool and thereby increases the traffic.  

• Affiliate Referrals: Subject to your honoring IMASD by-laws, you will be promoted as the IMASD Affiliate of you territory or country and new applicants will be sent directly to you.  

• IMASD Dues and Fees: As the IMASD Web host, you will collect (and keep the majority of) IMASD monthly dues for operational expenses.  

• You will be provided with a step-by-step marketing plan formulated from our experience with on-line marketing.  

Here is the bottom-line:
IMASD will instantly make you a worldwide player.  Our newsletter alone (for wholesale buyers) has over 50,000 subscribers worldwide.  Our main Web site directs traffic in the tens of thousands.  These numbers are very high when considering that our traffic is not the general consumer, but companies seeking product for resale.  Our Association will bring you customers, and you in turn will add to our collective power.  We welcome your involvement.
